Group Blasts Ex President Buhari over Relocation to Kaduna from Daura
… Demands Unreserve Apology for Abandoning Them
Kaduna based political group has expressed anger over the relocation of former President Muhammadu Buhari to his Kaduna residence after several years of abandoning the State .
The group, which asked Buhari to return to back to his Katsina hometown, said they never expected that he could stay away from Kaduna for 24 hours after he left office as Nigeria’s President .
According to the forum, all the privileges the former President has enjoyed and success achieved over years apparently were due to his link to Kaduna, the historical headquarters of the northern region. It was widely reported that the former President Buhari relocated from his hometown, Daura in Katsina State, to his residence in Kaduna, marking the end of a 21-month stay since leaving office in May 2023.
In a Statement issued today and made to journalists in Kaduna the forum explained: “Buhari abandoned us after he became the President and worst still, Daura home town became his favorite place of abode .In the statement signed Dr. Musa Ibrahim Gusau the angry members posited, ” We have always supported Buhari in all aspects of his life from the days of military rule to when he decided to join politics and ran for the highly coveted seat of President.“He later became President in 2015 and suddenly abandoned Kaduna people from 2015 to 2023 .Today he has returned to Kaduna and expect us to give same unalloyed and organic support.“We used to love Buhari for his regards and respect for the masses .We also strongly believe in his unquenching passion to fight corruption and work for emancipation of the talakawas ,but out mindset had changed now .“The decision to condemn his renewed decision to relocate to Kaduna was out of anger; pains and feelings of abandonment .“We are sad that after he became the president, he simply changed and started going to his Daura home town .Kaduna people voted for him;stood for him, but when he became President ,he abandoned Kaduna now he has returned to stay in Kaduna.“We are therefore call on the former President to apologize to all his supporters or return to Katsina.”

NIGERIANS IN DIASPORA CRY OUT AS DAVE UMAHI DESTROYED THEIR OVER N375 BILLION REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT
NIGERIANS IN DIASPORA CRY OUT AS DAVE UMAHI DESTROYED THEIR OVER N375 BILLION REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT
Some Nigerians investors from diaspora under the aegis of Association of Nigerians in Diaspora have cried out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over their multi billion investment in Nigeria, allegedly destroyed by the Minister of Works of Nigeria, Engr. David Nweze Umahi CON.
The Managing Director, Winhomes Global Services Limited, Engr. Stella Ifeoma Okengwu, reads an open letter to President Tinubu during their World Press Conference held in Houston Texas on Sunday February 23, 2025 at about 11:00 pm Nigeria time at Westheimer Road, Houston Texas and monitored online.
The open letter titled, “Address to the President: An Indictment of Minister Engr. David Umahi” calls for quick intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to rescue their over $250 million in foreign direct investment in Nigeria, which in naira is about N375 billion invested in acquiring and developing 17.03 hectares of land in Okun Ajah, Etiosa LGA, Lagos State. But Engr Umahi was said to have initiated the demolition of properties, claiming that the investments of $250 million are merely a ‘bare land’.
The open letter reads,
“I Engr. Stella Ifeoma Okengwu, Managing Director of Winhomes Global Services Limited, hereby present a grave indictment against Engr. David Umahi, the Minister of Works, and the Federal Ministry of Works of Nigeria. The actions of this minister reveal a disturbing pattern of illegal demolition, abuse of power, bribery, corruption, manipulation, and witch-hunting.
“Winhomes, a leading real estate company, has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s economy, repatriating $250 million in foreign direct investment. Our efforts align with your renewed hope agenda, encouraging Nigerians in the diaspora to invest at home. Despite our compliance with all legal requirements, including obtaining the necessary certifications and approvals, we have faced unjust treatment at the hands of the Ministry of Works.
“In the first quarter of 2024, we were shocked to learn that Minister Umahi had ordered an illegal diversion of the coastal road into our investment property—an action that defies the original alignment earmarked by your administration. This blatant disregard for the law, coupled with the minister’s selective demolition practices, raises serious concerns about integrity within the ministry,”
Suspecting that these actions of the Umahi “appear to be driven by personal agendas and corrupt dealings, as evidenced by credible reports of bribery linked to the Ocean Bay Estate. It is alarming that those who have illegally encroached upon the coastal road are spared, while law-abiding citizens like us face unwarranted punishment.
“Furthermore, the minister has publicly attacked me, labeling me a land grabber and issuing threats against my person, while denying the legitimacy of our investments. His insistence that our estate is merely “bare land” after demolishing our structures is a blatant falsehood.
“Recent developments, including his instructions to alter another alignment for personal gain, exemplify the selective manipulation of law and resources under his watch. The minister’s assertion that the Oba of Lagos, has no power to do anything because his land has been possessed alongside his blatant lies regarding utility placements, further underscores his contempt for authority and due process.
“The minister of works claiming that there is cable in Okun-Ajah is a ballant lie because we did our thorough investigation with Al dha Hassan, the people in charge of the design; and it was shown that there is no cables embedded on that area.
“The minister disregarded the rule of law by not following the directive of the federal high court of Lagos state by JUSTICE ALUKO which says: I will enjoin all parties to respect court processes and do not engage in any act capable of foisting a fait accomplishing on the court or render the out come of the case nugatory shows his track record of abusing power
“This pattern of impunity cannot be ignored. Engr. Umahi is undermining your administration’s efforts to foster investment and development in Nigeria. His disregard for the law and the rights of citizens is a threat to the very principles of governance that you advocate.
“We call for his immediate removal or honorable resignation. The people of Nigeria deserve a minister who embodies the renewed hope vision, not one who perpetuates corruption and abuse. We implore you, Mr. President, to take swift action to uphold the rule of law and restore faith in our nation’s governance.
Concluding the letter by stressing that they have made several appeals to “various government bodies, including the House Committee on Works and the ICPC, yet no action has been taken. We trust that your leadership will not allow this injustice to continue”
Also a former presidential aspirant under Labour Parry, His Excellency Faduri Oluwadare Joseph popularly called Fadojoe, lending his voice to call on the president to act fast on the lingering issue, stressed that if investors investment can no longer be protected under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, then it’s obvious that this administration will scare off foreign investors from Nigeria.
Therefore, on behalf of the Association of Nigerians Diasporan Investors, “we are gathered today to expose this unfortunate issue to the whole world. And our demands are simple:
“1. To appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to look into Minister David Umahi’s handlings and activities in the Ministry of Works as regards the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Roads Projects.
“2. That the ongoing land grabbing and illegal demolition by David Umahi be stopped and then well probed so that cases of using excuses to destroy legal projects be properly looked into to ensure that the government begging investors to come to the country wouldn’t be destroying investors, investment and thereby scaring away other investors from our dear country.
“3. The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the National Assembly look into making laws that will protect foreign investors and their investment so that many other Nigerians and foreigners can stop being afraid of coming to Nigeria to invest.
“4. That no one in Nigeria should be above the law of the land where applicable.
“5. That government should fully return back to investors, all that have been taken from them and Nigerian government should respect law and order and fully repay back all demolished and grabbed lands from diaspora investors, whose investment were illegally grabbed or demolished by the Ministry of Works under Hon. David Umahi
“6. That we Nigerians in diaspora want to rebuild and make our dear nation, Nigeria great again; but we need the enabling environment and assurance from our government that our investments would be secured and safe”. His speech notes.
Other Nigerians in Diaspora also addressed the press on the pertinent issue.
While a Nigerian who simply identified himself as Malik calls for full transparency of project plans, which according to him, “any project that seeks to disrupt the lives and properties of citizens must be shared openly and discussed inclusively. We must ensure that the voices of the affected are heard.
He also stressed the need for full investigation and accountability, asserting that “we demand an investigation into the motives behind these evil demolitions, to expose” any ulterior motives behind the destruction of such huge diaspora investment.
Clarifying the air on the development of the issue, Engr. Stella Ifeoma, who serves as the
CEO of Winhomes Global Services LTD, the legal owner of the 17.03 hectares of land in Okun Ajah, Etiosa LGA, Lagos State.
Notes as follows:
“It is imperative to clarify that while I hold the title of CEO, my primary role is acting as the Coordinator of
Properties for numerous Nigerians and foreign nationals in the diaspora who have united in our
initiative to promote investment not only in Nigeria but throughout Africa. These individuals have
labored diligently in countries such as the United States, Canada, Germany, Belgium, and the United
Kingdom, and they seek a secure place to call home—a vision that inspired the establishment of
Winhomes.
“We undertook comprehensive due diligence in acquiring this property, securing the Governor’s Consent and purchasing land that is accompanied by a Certificate of Occupancy. Furthermore, we possess a Right of Way clearance from the Lagos State government, confirming that the land is free from all encumbrances and is not situated within the designated alignment of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.
“To elaborate, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project was conceptualized during the administration of Alhaji Lateef Jakande and was adopted by then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2006, subsequently enacted into law by the Lagos State House of Assembly. The alignment for this road has been clearly designated.
“In 2022, I began to hear unsettling rumors regarding the imminent construction of the Lagos-Calabar
Coastal Road. Initially, we felt no concern, as our property does not fall along the established route. However, following the appointment of Engineer David Umahi as Minister for Works, significant deviations from the designated alignment were proposed, despite his assurances—both private and
public—during stakeholder meetings at Eko Hotel, that he would adhere to the original plan; instead, he chose to seize properties from those who have not built along the alignment, leaving those who have constructed on the alignment in a precarious position.
“Recently, Engineer David Umahi publicly insulted and threatened me, subsequently initiating the
demolition of properties within the Winhomes Estate at Okun Ajah. This action is in direct violation of the directives issued by the Federal High Court of Lagos State, which mandated that he, along with High-
Tech, the Attorney General of the Federation, and the Lagos State government, refrain from any
construction activities while the case remains unresolved.
“Despite this ruling, Engineer David Umahi has stationed military personnel and commenced construction following the destruction of numerous properties”.
She asserts that
the Right of Occupancy for Winhomes Estates is still so much valid as there is no order of revocation by any authority including Lagos State government, “and our Certificate of Occupancy remains valid. We are not infringing upon the right of way alignment. Therefore, the current situation demands urgent scrutiny.
“The Minister’s only justification for his actions has been to claim that the investments of $250 million
are merely a “bare land’ after demolishing properties within the estate. Furthermore, he has falsely asserted that the presence of an MTN cable necessitated his deviation from the original
alignment. This assertion is unequivocally false, as the MTN cable originates from the Atlantic Ocean near Okun Mopol Ijebu, approximately 25 kilometers from Okun Ajah.
“Such manipulation, deceit, and outright falsehoods presented to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must be addressed. The integrity of Nigeria is at stake due to the impunity exhibited by David Umahi.
“Higher authorities must intervene to rectify this situation, as upholding the rule of law is essential for national credibility and investment confidence”, she concludes.

Kaduna Disengaged Teachers Beg Uba Sani to Pay their Entitlements
Kaduna Disengaged Teachers Beg Uba Sani to Pay their Entitlements
… Express joy over release of withheld N548m NUT Endwell Funds
Tired of endless hope and waiting for their entitlements to be paid after they were sacked in 2017 by former Governor Nasir Elrufai’s government ,the teachers under aegis of Kaduna State Illegally Disengaged Teachers Forum converged on Arewa House Conference Hall to beg Governor Uba Sani to consider paying all their entitlements immediately .
According to the teachers, the untold hardship faced since they were sacked till date is better imagined , thus their decision to come out and appeal to the governor .
“We are happy that Governor who sacked us is already seeing the hand of God all over the place . It is unfair to treat teachers, who contributed their quota to educational development in the State in such heartless manner.” They said .
The Elrufai led Government had sacked 21,000 out of 30,000 primary school teachers who failed competency test.
But at a press conference held at Arewa House Conference on Tuesday, the State Coordinator of KSIDF, Comrade Aminu Maitama said the competency test was not done in good faith as presented to public, but to reduce number of teachers in employment of State government.
While Stating that he personally scored 70 percent in the result he saw ,the Coordinator wondered why he was sacked after such above average score. The truth is that there are several cases such as mine all the across the 23 local government areas of the State .
Speaking further,he explained ,”I think what Elrufai did was to sack the teachers to reduce cost of salary payments without recourse to the standard of teaching and education in the State.
However, he called on Governor Uba Sani to consider their plights and revisit the issue of the 21,000 sacked teachers.
We strongly that the Governor from all indication would sympathise with and and do the needful immediately.
The sacked teachers, who commended the Governor for ordering the immediate release of the sum of N548 million to the Nigerian Union of Teachers Endwell scheme which was withheld by the past administration, also appealed to him to conduct another competency for them to ascertain their eligibility.
Re-Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s Recent Statement on Radio France: A Gross Misrepresentation of Reality
Re-Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s Recent Statement on Radio France: A Gross Misrepresentation of Reality
By Maiwada Dammallam
I just came across a hurriedly and shabbily knitted rebuttal by a certain group — “Arewa Unity Forum” — a supposed response to an interview with His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D, conducted and aired by RFI Hausa. The rebuttal, or more accurately, media banditry, is obviously intended on one hand to deconstruct the immediate subject of the interview, the empowerment of rural women with a 40,000 enhanced specie of goats breed to fast track the rejuvenation of Katsina State’s rural economy.
On the other hand, the rebuttal could also be said to have aimed to deconstruct as a whole the administration of Governor Radda. It’s unlikely, however, if the forum’s embarrassing outing achieved anything more than exposing the suspicious motive and the masked identity of the so called Arewa Unity Forum. Earlier before the forum’s outing a pundit was of the opinion that Katsina State is foot dragging and moving slowly by supporting rural women with goats in a fast moving AI-trending world. The two identical albeit from different directions advocacies did little more than leaving behind a bile taste in the mouths of real advocates for good governance and social justice.
But for impulsive “adawa,” how could one throw away empowerment of rural women with special breeds of goats in favor of Artificial Intelligence? Need I remind these are women who are not equipped to operate fully a transistor radio much less, a computer yet, were known to have trained rural children with goat raring proceeds to break out of the pervading circle of poverty ruling our rural communities. Lest I digress.
Before delving into the details of the inaccuracies of the Arewa Unity Forum’s neither-here-nor-there rebuttal on the mentioned interview, it’s reasonable to first determine the forum’s identity and its source of mandate to speak on behalf of the people of Katsina State considering the rich impression of talking on behalf of citizens of the state the forum always leaves behind with each poorly researched; ignorance laden outing. Certainly, fair minded observers will like to know the scientific method the forum adopted to arrive at the outrageously baseless verdict that “The people of Katsina State have lost hope and trust in Governor Radda’s administration.” Where did the people of Katsina State told the forum this falsity?
It’s very funny that a forum which is hardly identifiable is claiming to be speaking on behalf of about 10 million citizens of Katsina State. Wide search on the internet provided many forums bearing the name “Arewa Unity Forum” hence making it difficult to identify the one working tediously albeit virtually to unify Katsina in as notoriously divisive and unforgivably ignorant manner as the Arewa Unity Forum under review has been conducting its bizarre kind of advocacy lately in Katsina State — although exclusively within the confines of whatsapp groups.
Ordinarily, one will think that an advocacy forum of this nature will first strive to build the credibility and public confidence needed for as serious business as vetting governance. But then, these are no ordinary times and nothing proves this more than the obsessional responses to issues of governance by the so called Arewa Unity Forum. It’s embarrassing reading regular whatsapp releases of the forum’s unscientific conclusions on matters of governance viz-a-viz the opinions of the people of Katsina State, yet without even the most watery proof of conducting a survey to touch the pulse of the state. By the way, just few days ago the forum was on air falsely telling the world wrong stories about former Governor Masari — lies debunked convincingly by his former spokesperson and lies yet to be revisited by the forum. Apparently it’s becoming a regular habit.
Having said that, let’s ask the forum, “Which people of Katsina State is the forum telling the world has lost hope and trust in Governor Radda’s administration?” I don’t think the forum has in mind the same people of the same Katsina State that only few days ago came out in large numbers and enthusiastically gave Governor Radda and his administration a landslide victory in the LGAs elections conducted by the administration and stamped by many observers as one of the freest and fairest LGAs elections conducted across Nigeria in recent times.
Of course, Arewa Unity Forum may be tempted to deny or challenge the verdict of these observers in “Whatsapp courts” but then, the forum will end up with a more complex task of explaining why PDP, the major opposition party in the state, chose to be sensible by not wasting money to join the elections after considering the odds and using the obvious public satisfaction trailing Governor Radda and his result-oriented and purpose-driven administration. Of course, neither Arewa Unity Forum nor any other forum or force is yet to approach any court to challenge the credibility and validity of the elections.
Now let’s go back to the watery issues of governance raised by the forum on which it built its fantasy about Katsina people losing hope and trust in Governor Radda despite his numerous promises and reassurances as the forum falsely averred. Playing the game even as a masquerade, I find this position by the forum as bizarre as it’s embarrassing if truly intended to be a well intentioned advocacy. Let me break it into a chewable and digestible morsel.
Being magical is not among any of the numerous promises and assurances of Governor Radda. Truly there were promises and assurances but these were not promises and assurances that should be taken in the magical sense the forum is doing. These are realistic and implementable promises planned to salvage and restore Katsina State by a determined and meticulous administrative processes guided by intellectual finesse and patriotic commitment to serve the state. Apparently the forum must have missed Governor Radda’s blueprint while being somewhere sleeping when the blueprint was being debated in physical and virtual political spaces within Katsina State when it matters.
Then it won’t surprise me if the forum is handicapped and cannot say which promises and assurances Governor Radda made and which are being kept or not. In any case, I don’t even believe the forum cares which promises are being kept or not. The regular rantings of the forum sounds more like a call to be noticed for other purposes rather than an advocacy for the advancement of the welfare of the good people of Katsina State. I’m of the believe that the forum is just aiming to generate enough visibility at the expense of Governor Radda and his administration to negotiate relevance come 2027 election season. This is the only explanation I can come up with to decode the desperation guiding the illogical torrents of injurious advocacies the forum is reeling out with alarming regularity. Going at this rate and in this direction, I will be surprise if in the next few months the forum will not be accusing Governor Radda for the amount of rain Katsina State will be blessed with in the next rainy season. Yes, the forum is in such a blind pursuit of fame to notice its chasing infamy.
Fact is, hate him or like him, Governor Radda is a trailblazer; an achiever with foresight and uncanny abilities to circumvent knotty problems; provide easy solutions and resolve persistently defying situations. His courage and confidence generates hope among the people rather than have them lose hope. While not denying there are issues of insecurity in Katsina State as in other places in the northwestern part of Nigeria, I can say without fear of contradiction that no one could deny the fact that Governor Radda has done excellently in checking and reducing the menace of banditry in Katsina State unarguably more than expected in a two-year period.
Banditry is an inherited and prolonged problem which couldn’t be wished away mere words of mouths. It’s a complex and enveloping problem that requires the best of intentions, sincerity of purpose, critical thinking, determination, commitment, huge resources and ability to circumvent traditional ways of doing things. Governor Radda, without being the Chief of Army Staff or the IGP of the Nigerian Police Force, actually took full charge of security situation in Katsina State that he’s receiving accolades even from members of the opposition; those operating with the correct template. And his efforts are paying dividends; so much so that opposition is largely reduced to pages of the social media guided by virtual armchair critics.
Even more impressive, despite the huge burden of securing Katsina State, no sector is neglected under the administration of Governor Radda. While dealing with the menace of banditry, he also came top on the list of states with the most pragmatic approach to handle the devastating impact of banditry on rural communities. His achievements in this regard are bigger than to be thrown away by malnourished and idealess political groups masquerading as advocates of good governance while mostly operating from within the safe confines of whatsapp groups.
Only recently Governor Radda went through the Batsari axis of the state; a notorious bandits’ enclave, hitherto a no-go area. Numerous reports by credible media outlets reported how life is gradually returning back to normal in the areas with farming and rural business activities picking up. Then, what better time could there be to support rural women to jumpstart the rural economy than now when the menace of banditry is being suffocated?
Is it not silly to question the logic of empowering rural women by supporting them with special breeds of goats to jumpstart the rural economy with a special focus on the role of women in this regard? Who among the members of the Arewa Unity Forum will deny not benefiting from the proceeds of goats rearing if the forum is not a congregation of “city boys” without rural roots? As they say, you cannot shave a man’s head in absence. This is a challenge to Arewa Unity Forum to go deep into Katsina rural communities, conduct a survey and bring out the opinion of real rural dwellers on whether Governor Radda’s initiatives to enhance rural economy are beneficial and paying off or not.
And to pundits blaming Governor Radda for sending computers to rural communities or teaching rural women Artificial Intelligence (AI), let me say he was there long before they arrive at the reality of Artificial intelligence in global economy and how it’s critical to the future development of any community. This explains why he nominated the best brains among the children of the downtrodden and sent them abroad to learn Artificial Intelligence and get them prepared for a modern world. Rome was not built in a day and neither will Katsina be built in a day. It takes time to build a good and functional society but we have to start somewhere and Governor Radda has started on the right footing. Rather than aimlessly attack his agendas and policies, I expect superior agendas and policies.
Truth is, if anybody is disconnected with reality it’s Arewa Unity Forum even if by just missing the revolutionary strides of Governor Radda which, if I must say, are a clearly result of his meticulous approach to governance. That Governor Radda is dealing with the menace of banditry did not stop him to improve healthcare services or stop him from revitalizing the education and agricultural sectors. Schools and healthcare centers are either enjoying facelifts or being provided where hitherto none exist before across the state.
Citizens’ welfare is also on Governor Radda’s priority list. Numerous empowerment programs aimed at alleviating poverty among women and youths are being implemented by KASEDA with an amazing regularity that one could only wonder how so much could be done within the 2-year life of the administration and especially with the challenges of insecurity that has robbed the state of much of the resources needed to tackle its problems. Ditto, The Katsina State Community Development Programme (CDP), a pragmatic poverty alleviation initiative of Governor Radda, has empowered more than 118,200 residents through various agricultural initiatives since its establishment only two months ago given life to the administration’s claim of possessing a comprehensive and implementable blueprint which is being adhered to religiously.
The newly launched “Rumbun Sauki” — another solace-driven initiative by the administration is aimed towards providing workers a decent and respectable to alternative to loan sharks who are preying on workers and exploiting them by giving them loans using outrageously inhuman terms and wickedly exorbitant interest rates. “Rumbun Sauki” is also ingeniously designed to reduce pressure on local markets whenever salaries and pensions are paid which is very regular and predictable to make workers susceptible to sharp practices by unscrupulous businessmen who always make a killing by exploiting areas hitherto considered blind spots but which today are receiving government’s attention. The “Rumbun Sauki” initiative will go a long way in enhancing food security and price stability in our markets. Any good governance advocates that fails to see this for what is may as well close shop and start looking better things to do.
In addition to all these, Government workers and retirees are smiling to their banks either for regular and prompt payments of salaries and pensions or for payments of backlog of gratuities which so far, Governor Radda has settled about N30bn backlog of while simultaneously investing about N30bn to enhance agricultural mechanization with a clear motive to rejuvenate and modernize the agricultural sector which undeniably is the bedrock of Katsina State’s economy.
Interestingly, to Arewa Unity Forum this pragmatism in governance as well as the billions of Naira being invested by the administration to make lives better for citizens of the state in different sectors are not beneficial to the people. What could be more preposterous?!!!!
Group Blasts Kaduna PDP, Senator Lawal Adamu over Allegations of Sabotage
Group Blasts Kaduna PDP, Senator Lawal Adamu over Allegations of Sabotage
.. Warns against dragging Gov. Uba Sani into Mr LA’s Failure
Kaduna Good Governance Monitoring Group again took a swipe at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Lawal Adamu after accusing Kaduna State Governor ,Mal Uba Sani of alleged sabotage.
According to the group, who is sabotaging who now, when records of performance over the past 18 months show that the party’s Senator has been unable to stand to speak on the floor of the Senate and sponsor bills that will help cushion effects of hardship in the State?
Recalled that the Senior Special Assistant to the National Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Media and Communication, Mr Yusuf Dingyadi in a Statement did claim the state government refused to distribute learning and teaching materials procured by Senator Adamu.
According to the PDP statement, the move is aimed at discrediting Senator Adamu, who has been working to improve education in the state.
But in a swift reaction to the statement by PDP , Kaduna Good Governance Monitoring Group queried the rational behind a statement from a party when its representative in the Senate has failed to deliver on campaign promises.
The group in the statement signed by the Secretary, Comrade Bello Bashir Mohammed, said it is unfortunate that a dead opposition party such as PDP could make such sweeping statement in defence of Mr LA ,who since he came on board ,he has no any serious projects to show.
The statement reads : ” Mr LA as he is popularly called and his cohort cannot be hiding under his inability to perform and bring any tangible project to the table to stirr up sympathy from the public who already know he has failed and would be summarily voted out come 2027 .
“How dare the PDP compare Governor Uba Sani’e days in the Senate with that of a lawmaker adjudge by his constituents as complete failure.
“All other two Senators and members of House of Representatives are doing well to the extent that one of PDP senators was able to attract a University to Southern Kaduna with the backing of Governor Uba Sani and the President.
“We make bold to say if senator Lawal has done anything tangible, the Governor and President we know, will come out openly to support him and even go extra miles to ensure he succeeds .
“We have decided to speak out in defence of Governor Uba Sani to avoid misrepresentation of facts . PDP and her failed lawmaker cannot make baseless allegations without getting reaction from our group that has statistics of performance of all political office holders in the State.”
The group however, warned PDP against dragging Governor Uba Sani into the weakness and failure of her lawmaker,Mr LA.

Forum for Peace and Tranquility in Nigeria (FPTN) has the federal government to investigation Aisha Yesufu a prominent activist and convener of the Bring Back Our Girls movement for allegedly receiving funds from USAID under guise of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) to sponsor Boko Haram insurgents.
Aisha Yesufu’s matter became a subject of discussion again on the internet after it emerged that the United States Agency for International Development, USAID, channelled about $697 million annually in funds to terrorist organizations, including Boko Haram, Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and ISIS.
The Forum in a Statement signed by the Secretary, Mal Iliya Mohammed Suleiman Stated: “She is currently slugging it out with many critics on X over her role in the famous Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, campaign.
“Following the revelation,Investigative journalist David Hundeyin stirred a fresh controversy by alleging that Yesufu and her associates in the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign were part of a broader USAID-backed project designed to unseat former President Goodluck Jonathan.”
However, the forum, which queried her source of funding demanded that she declared her revenue sources or face wrath of the law.
While speaking on matters of financial integrity, the Forum recalled when the National Working Committee of the Labour Party, led by Julius Abure called on the National Security Adviser and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate Aisha Yesufu for alleged misappropriation of funds from the 2023 presidential campaign.
According to the statement,Labour party did allege that Yesufu, along with Pastor Ighodalo and other accomplices, mismanaged and diverted over N12bn and $15m in donations intended for the Labour Party’s campaign.
“Citing these examples creates an atmosphere of suspicion that gave birth to our reason for demanding for thorough investigation in her past activities and sources of funds .”it added .
