OPEN MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT TINUBU

OPEN MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT TINUBU

Tinubu Student Loan policy; An idea of putting the Bulls before the horns

While so many Nigerians are praising the Student loan policy that President Tinubu is introducing to the Nigerian educational system whereby students can take a loan after gaining admission to attend institutions of higher learning and then repay in 2yrs after graduation? I am concerned it is doing the last thing first and a rushed policy to please angry Youths to buy their conscience without thinking it through.

My caution and reservations are that this step is not the first step to take in the educational sector of our Nation which has so many twists and turns and so many failures around it.
The system is setting itself up for failure
In as much as we are building a home on no foundation.

During my Presidential campaign tour to some of our nation’s universities. I realized that many of the colleges, Polytechnic and universities we have in Nigeria are comparable to elementary schools of the developed Worlds in terms of structures, infrastructures;
Most of our schools don’t have adequate or standard classrooms, and most do not have any science labs, in the era of technology I am not sure if any of our schools can boast of modern technologies like laptops, digital blackboards for teaching, science labs, computer centers to mention a few, not to talk of stable electricity on campuses, comfortable classrooms, books in the libraries among many factors militating against our educational system especially most of the govt schools that have been relegated to worst with the advent of private schools in Nigeria.
Many Nigerian universities’ science students are learning many things from books as some of the technological equipment is nowhere to be found in many of our Govt institutions not to also mention the Jamb examination which has not been the best way of admitting students into schools all across the country, so to start overhauling the educational system by starting with student loans is an exercise in futility as this may not yield the needed results to help the lives of Youths in our Nation.
The lecturers’ unions across some of these institutions also have their issues that are yet to be taken care of by Govt as I am aware that many demands of ASUU are still there begging for resolutions so these teachers can shut down the system anytime when they feel their need is not been attended to not to finally talk of where would govt raise the money he will use to pay for these loans we talking about.
Or are we Borrowing again to pay for student loans?

Having highlighted all these Grey areas, Had expected the govt who wants to copy the educational system of the Western developed world to start by making education free and compulsory from elementary to secondary school first and free to all Nigerians because what are the statistics of Nigerians able to send their kids to school from elementary to secondary school today? The statistics are very low, so many of our Children are roaming the streets and are uneducated. Many don’t even make it to secondary school much less colleges, if we must revive the educational system in our Nation we must start by making education affordable, free, and compulsory for all children born in Nigeria from 4yrs old to secondary school which will, in turn, help the parents to focus on other needs like accommodation and feeding of the family and even safe some money ahead of their colleges.
Secondly, we would have to set up an educational reform board to see how govt can upgrade most of our schools, and equip them to be able to meet up with modern international standards so that we start producing graduates who can contribute to growing and creating a New Nigeria and A new economy.

After we have made education compulsory and free from kindergarten up to secondary school and after we have upgraded most of our higher institutions up to modern and international standards then bringing students loans would have been a great idea to institutions where we will now build the new tomorrow of Young Nigerians who would have the tools and environment to learn and take something to the World to contribute to our economy and country at large .infact if we create an enabling environment we can start having institutions of higher learning in Nigeria producing Nigerian locally made kinds of stuff but to start with students loan is to build something on nothing and eventually a failed policy from the beginning and a policy rushed through just to please the Youths of Nigeria not just to bring about educational advancement in our Nation.

I will appeal to the govt of President Tinubu to look through my submission and retrace his steps to embark on a complete overhaul of the educational system in Nigeria not just this fire brigade approach to solving part of it.
May God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Allegation of Emefiele/Uba Sani 137 BDC’s/NASS/$2.8Billion is Ridiculous, Baseless – Comrade Musa Mohammed

A political analyst and member of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Comrade Musa Mohammed has debunked the allegations, against the executive Governor of Kaduna state Sen. Uba Sani, that “In Jan 2019 Emefiele was Alleged to have handed over 137 BDC Licences for Distribution to National Assembly members, which Senator Uba Sani is the link” describing t as a mere propaganda to smear the person of Uba Sani.

Comrade Musa Mohammed said such allegations were shocking described the claim as a figment of the imagination of opposition’s.

“I think we should know that CBN is the creation of the law, and is an institution with statutory flavour. There responsibility is to keep up with the law.

“They keep a record of all transactions, that is why even when the CBN hear such allegations, are shocked.

He further stated that Uba Sani is one among many not only in Kaduna, but the country at large with approved licence to operate the business of Forex (DBC).

Therefore, Musa Mohammed had challenged anybody with prove or evidence of such allegations to substantiate before the law.

However, Musa Mohammed has called on the public disregard such allegation to the number one citizen of Kaduna state.

“Such faulted allegation has polical links to dent the leadership of the governor, especially opposition parties”.

” However, we the good people of Kaduna state, will continue to rally round his Excellency the Executive Governor of Kaduna state Senator Malam Uba Sani”.

On the assumption of Uba Sani as the governor of Kaduna state, Comrade Musa Mohammed said, the governor early steps in the administration of the state, the dynamic governor, apart from appointing his kitchen cabinets, who are versatile, competent and hard-working, is a testimony that Uba Sani is ready to deliver the state to higher level.

Similarly, the constitution of a 10-man high-powered committee to review the performance of all parastatals of the State government, is another serious attempt by the governor to tanned financial misappropriation, visa_vis his meeting with Ambassador of Kuwait to Nigeria, Abdelaziz Albisher, in a bid to form a strong partnership between the State and the Middle Eastern nation, which is a welcome development, he added.

Shettima’s Patriotic remarks under the Current dispensation

Shettima’s Patriotic remarks under the Current dispensation

By

BASHIR MAIDUGU

“Prejudice is a great time saver. You can form opinions without having to get the facts.”..E.B White

The furore generated over the remarks of the Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON is a consequence of a combination of several intricacies not unconnected with our diversity as a nation.

During his interaction with Senators-Elect prompted by the intransigence of some Senators aspiring to the leadership of the Senate to concede to the Party’s zoning formula, Shettima, being a staunch nationalist and inclusivist, opined that..

“…under the current dispensation, the most incompetent Southern Christian is better than the most puritanical Northern Muslim for the Presidency of the Senate”….some sections of the press went heywire and deliberately distorted and misquoted the Vice President to the effect that “he insulted Muslim Northerners” and went ahead to present  that distortion to the public. The instant desire for mischief and chaos by the purveyors of the distortion was noticeable by all right thinking faculties. It’s a political gimmick and a trademark of some notorious politicians.

The focus of this write up  is on three issues emanating from the speech and a fourth one to be read together with the first three.

1. We have to understand that the words “under the current dispensation”used by the Vice President from the begining of his statement is the context in which he spoke. They were very relevant to the effect that we must juxtapose our own current situation to whatever crucial decision that would be made with respect to our cohesion and progress as a diverse nation. In other words, we must build trust and confidence between ourselves as God Almighty has already Decreed our nationhood as a melting point of  different cultures, ethnicities and religions. The ownership of this land called Nigeria is vested in us as citizens and it is incumbent upon us as responsible people to organise our affairs in such a way that every citizen feels not only carried along but also  respected and protected.

The key to peaceful and progressive existence as a member of the human race rests on  understanding and respect for these diverse values. Therefore, his words “in the current dispensation” must not be  divorced from the rest of the statement. Any other interpretation could mean seeking mischief and chicanery. In politics, these abound.

2. Since the victory of the progressives in 2015, efforts have been made by the Federal Government, party stakeholders and other patriots to convince the South South states and indeed the rest of the country that APC is a nationalistic Party. Consequently in the 2023 elections, the emergence of the Party  as a very strong alternative meant that the zone is ripe for leadership posts within the party. This is a development that requires appraisal and official appreciation. As faithfuls, we are truly thrilled with the performance of the Party in that zone. Ordinarily, this calls for celebration and it was in consideration of these realities that the Party wisely decided to cede  the Presidency of the Senate to the South South…

“what binds us together,” in Shettima’s words, “is stronger than whatever divides us as a nation”, he said.

This is classic patriotism and our reactions as fellow patriots is to celebrate this posture.

In a nutshell, the statement he made in that gathering of the distinguished Senators is a simple summation of the mindset of the All Progressiveness Congress as a Party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu….under our current dispensation

3. The need to puncture the diabolic machinations of the Labour Party sore losers and extremists to falsely present Nigeria as a state where Christians are marginalised …

In a democracy, elections are conducted at specific  intervals where leaders of the community are chosen by the people. The overall objective is to provide good governance for the community. Those not chosen by the people would usually try their luck another time. This is not the case with the Obidients’ as their failed objective, after losing, was and still is to cause chaos and anarchy and to place hurdles for the new APC government including instigating the international community to disparage Nigeria. It is viewed that the occupation of the top three positions of the Nigerian Government by Muslims will aid them greatly in their unholy propaganda. The leadership of the nation and party are conscious of this evil plot. The VP’s posture was simply to convey this message under the current dispensation.

4. H.E Kashim Shettima was Governor of Borno State (2011 -2019). Without controversy, his tenure was the most traumatised of a Chief Executive of a state in Nigeria. The tragic insurgency during that time has afforded him with a fair knowledge of how conflicts are inflamed and peace and stability  attained and maintained. From the foregoing, we have to concede to him that his experience has afforded him the capacity to sense trouble at a distance. The gyration by the Labour Party in the present run up to the elections of the new Senate leadership is aimed at brewing trouble or difficulty for the young APC administration. The  Vice President simply wants to nip this in the bud and deny them of any oxygen of relevance under the current dispensation.

We, as true patriotic Nigerians are bound to assist our own situation for peace, progress and prosperity of our nation, always and under the current dispensation.

10th Senate:NEF, Shehu Sani Differs on Shettima ,Says VP Fair on Choice of Christian Senate President

10th Senate:NEF, Shehu Sani Differs on Shettima ,Says VP Fair on Choice of Christian Senate President

… Insists VP was quoted out of Context

As tension is stirred up over the choice of the President of 10th Senate, Senator Shehu Sani has backed Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima on the appeal for the senators to elect a Christian to occupy the highly coveted seat against the position of Northern Elders Forum that either Islam or Christianity, should not be a deciding factor in who leads the Senate.

The northern elders had knocked Vice President Kashim Shettima for saying, “under the current dispensation, the worst incompetent Southern Christian is better than the most puritanical Northern Muslim for the Presidency of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

But in a reaction on the matter, Senator Shehu Sani via his Twitter handle explained :I watched the video clip, where the VP Shetima spoke about the comparative suitability and competence of a Northern Muslim and Southern Christian.

“My understanding is that he spoke within the context of their effort to balance the religious scale with regards to who becomes the Senate President. He is evidently making a case for a Christian Senate President in view of the lopsided religious configuration.

“With a Muslim President and VP and a Muslim Speaker and CJN,the ruling party’s only opportunity to score a balance is the Senate Presidency. If they lost this, definitely the accusation against them will be a proven case.

According to the Human Rights Activist, It was very clear that Shettima made a statement of appeal. Adding, “I viewed him as making a case for Akpabio as the only possible option left for APC to clear the air over the issue of alleged Islamization Agenda.”

He said a situation where, “The President is a Muslim;the Vice President is a Muslim , the Speaker is a Muslim, the Chief Justice of Nigeria is a Muslim is capable of creating more disharmony and certainly the reason Shettima said, the worst Southern Christian is better that a Northern Muslim as far position of Senate is concerned.”

He however said the Northern Elders must have quoted Vice President Shettima out of context. Noting ,” I didn’t see where Shettima said a Christian Senate President is better than any Northern Muslim candidate in the race.”

Shehu Sani, who said ,”Professor Ango Abdullahi as the leader the Northern Elders Forum(NEF) and Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed are respected elder statesmen, whose contributions remained invaluable on issues of National discourse and development, noted , “But on matter of the election of President of the 10th Senate ,I want our elders to see reasons for fairness, equity and justice.

Professor Ango Abdullahi, Leader of NEF

” If a Christian is denied the seat of Senate President, it will only corroborate the claims of alleged Islamization Agenda.”

He therefore, urged the the 109 senators to consider a Christian to emerge as the President of the 10th Senate to avoid undue political friction and tension.

Appoint More Christians To Principal Positions, Group To Tinubu

Appoint More Christians To Principal Positions, Group To Tinubu

A group of northern Christian’s youths has called President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give priority to appointing northern Christians to principals’ positions in his government, siting that it mobilized Christians in the region to vote the President. The group made this call today in a congratulatory message to the President. ‘’It is with great pride that we recall our unwavering support and the efforts made by our organization to mobilize Christians from the Northern region to vote for you’’

It will be recalled that the Northern Christian Youth Professionals among the very few Christians in the region to come out publicly and declare support for Tinubu and his Vice who are both Muslims, the northern Christians especially the APC chieftains led by former Secretary of the Federation Mr. Lawal Babachir and Former Speaker of House Representatives Yakubu Dogara had rejected the ‘’muslim muslim’’ ticket back in July when Vice President Kashim Shettima was picked as Tinubu as the running mate.

The Christians are now asking ‘’ for increased representation and inclusion in decision-making processes. By appointing deserving Northern Christians to important roles such as the Secretary General of the Federation, Security Chiefs, and other principal positions’’, Adding that such appointments will only acknowledge their collective support but also ensure that the diverse voices and perspectives of the northern region are duly represented at the highest levels of governance.

The Press statement from the group also urged the President Tinubu to revitalize the Forest Guards, which promised in his Renewed Hope manifesto will help to monitor, identify, and track down violent and criminal groups in the likes of Boko Haram, Bandits in the forests’e recognize the magnitude of this task and the impact it can have on national security, the revaltilzed Forest Gaurds can recruit and employ one hundred and eighty-five thousand young Nigeria individuals within the first six months in fulfilment of one million jobs promised from the digital economy’’.

The statement signed by the chairman of the group Isaac Abrak says demands that the President revitalize the Forest Guard in his first 6 months of his administration siting his success and that of his vice who both created government agencies that employ youths enmass that curb insecurity when they both governors of Lagos and Borno states respectively.’’Drawing upon your experience as the Governor of Lagos State, where you successfully utilized mass youth employment through the establishment of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, and your Vice President Kashim Shettima instrumental role in establishing the Civilian Joint Task Force as a Goernor in Borno State’’ as such NCYP says they have great confidence in Tinubu and Kashim’s. ability to make this ambitious plan a reality within the first 6 months of their administration.

The group further praised the President for announcing the removal of the fuel subsidy, describing it as ‘’audacious’’ and a bold step that demonstrates his commitment to implementing crucial reforms for the betterment of the nation, urging the President to remain steadfast in his resolve and push forward with removing the fuel subsidy, keeping in mind its potential to create a more sustainable and equitable economic environment for all Nigerians.

…says ALGON Ready to Support President Tinubu to Develop Nigeria

Hon. Abubakar stated this in his message to Local Governments Councils of Nigeria as the nation celebrates June 12 as Democracy day.

Admonishing the Council Chairmen on need for focused leadership and people based governance, the National ALGON Chairman said “as grassroots leaders, the Chairmen have much role to play in ensuring  the sustainability of the hard-earned democracy in the country.”

According to him,  the June 12 general elections is just like the last general elections which saw the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a true reflection of the desires of Nigerians.

“June 12 will continue to remain a unifying factor for  present and future Nigerian politicians” he added .

He also congratulated  Nigerians for witnessing  yet another celebration as he promised that ALGON  will give the present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu  the necessary support and cooperation in bringing development to our dear fatherland.

He however recalled the immediate past administration of Muhammadu Buhari  set aside June 12 as democracy day in the country ,as the federal government has already declared Monday this week as public holiday to mark the day.

10th NASS: Arewa New Agenda Promotes Healing and Inclusion

10th NASS: Arewa New Agenda Promotes Healing and Inclusion

A northern political pressure group, Arewa New Agenda (ANA), has emphasized the need for healing, inclusivity and national cohesion in the upcoming inauguration of the 10th National Assembly.

The chairman of the group, Sen Ahmed Abubakar MoAllahyidi said this at a press briefing in Abuja, on Saturday.

As a prominent voice representing the northern region of Nigeria, ANA aims to promote social harmony and peaceful coexistence in the country.

The group expressed concerns about the current landscape, where the President, Vice President, Chief Justice of Nigeria, and the front-runner for the Speaker of the House of Representatives are all Muslims.

The organization believes that such a situation lacks the necessary balance, inclusion, and cohesion that Nigeria’s diversity demands. To address this, ANA commended the idea of electing a Southern Christian as the President of the 10th Senate, viewing it as a bold move that could unite the country across tribal and religious lines.

While acknowledging that several highly qualified contenders from different regions have expressed their interest in the leadership positions, ANA respectfully urged the northerners, particularly Muslims among them to defer their ambitions.

The organization believes that such a sacrifice would promote a spirit of brotherhood, fraternal accommodation, and goodwill.

ANA highlighted the suitability of Senator Godswill Akpabio from the South-South Geopolitical Zone to head the 10th Senate.

The organization also called upon the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reward Nigerians who entrusted the party with their mandate, despite the opposition to having two Muslims as President and Vice President. The group stressed the importance of reducing acrimony and power struggles among the different geopolitical zones, in order to ensure a smooth and peaceful transition under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Meanwhile, ANA appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in their mission to elevate Nigeria to new heights.

The organization emphasized the need for national reconciliation and urged all stakeholders involved in the leadership transition of the 10th National Assembly to unite and usher in a new era of progress for the country.

As Nigeria prepares for the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, ANA believes this moment presents an opportunity to heal the nation and looks forward to the peace and tranquility that will follow this significant national activity.

Uba Sani: Kaduna Elected A Pathfinder, Emancipator Of The Less Privileged

Uba Sani: Kaduna Elected A Pathfinder, Emancipator Of The Less Privileged.

By Comrade Musa Mohammed

His Excellency The Executive Governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani is a foremost Politician and nationalist figure who championed the emancipation of the ordinary citizen, without ethnic or religious barriers.

He is a pathfinder and leader of an inestimable value, ‘a pathfinder and ’emancipator of the less privileged’.

He is an icons of political leadership whose contributions to the politics of Kaduna state and the country can not be quantified.

The national assembly (red Chambers) would immortalize the former law maker selfless services and contributions to the national development.

Uba Sani is a leader with intellect, great ideas, oratory prowess and immense capacity for mobilization and organization of the people.

The leadership style of UBA SANI in the political evolution of Nigeria; a Politician who had great ideas for the socio-political and economic development of the country.

Senator Uba Sani’s success and victory, it heralds the rising into mother earth of a man of destiny.

A man whose life has impacted and has continued touching many lives across kaduna state and nigeria positively.

A quintessential leader and a proud son of Kaduna; a man who bequeathed kaduna Central senatorial district with great testimonials of service to the masses during his time as a Senator.

I have always held the opinion and consistently found it to be truly so that the Almighty God has a purpose for all that happens to a man.

After all the sage, whatever happens to a man happens to him for his own good! It is therefore not by coincidence that the Almighty Allah (God) has chosen the month of May to bless our dear state with a unique man of purpose; SENATOR UBA SANI.

Uba Sani was born into and bred by humanism.
He grew learning the art and science of struggle for emancipation.
His adulthood was thus baptized into a life that could best be described as embodiment of the struggle to emancipate the downtrodden! He was not deterred by the unpalatable experiences and difficulties growing up in less privileged environment; having not been born with the fabled silver spoon! Rather, he deployed his humble background as a tonic for sharpening progressive ideological worldview. Imbued by the circumstances of deprivation under which he was raised, he became determined and committed to championing the cause of poor masses.

His quest to pursue progressive ideals with passion has continued to define political activism and leadership.

Uba Sani is a man driven essentially and irrevocably by progressive ideology.

As the new governor of Kaduna state, he will not only transform infrastructural architecture he will also impacted on all facets of human capital development as manifested in education, health, and social development sectors etc.

Uba Sani is a man blinded to primordial sentiments.
He is not ruled by where you come from and what religion you practice but believes in rewarding excellence and exceptional talents. He is not afraid of seeking out talents, nurturing them and encouraging them to grow and become better so that the community and the kaduna project can become better served.

Without sounding immodest, we would boldly say that kaduna state is blessed to have UBA SANI as it’s governor.

We pray that God Almighty will continue to be the source of his strength and have a successful tenure.

ALGON : IMC Exists ,Alabi Falsely Parading as ALGON President,Hon.Abubakar Clears Air

…Says Ategbero Led BoT Selectively Blind

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) National Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Hon. Abubakar U. Abdullahi has reacted to the newspaper in publication over claims what he termed erroneous claim that the Interim Management Committee is unknown.

According to Hon. Abubakar, the Interim Management Committee exist and has continued to oversee the affairs of the association pending the election of substantive officers.

In a letter written to Daily Trust Editor to clear the air over  the erroneous publication, ALGON body said ,…” our current National Chairman of the IMC, is Hon. Abdullahi U. Abubakar, chairman representing Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory took over from Hon. Abdullahi S. Maje, a former chairman of Suleja local government area in Niger State.

“Let me reiterate that the Interim Management Committee was set up by the General Assembly in 2019 in furtherance to conducting elections of substantive leadership into the association, this feat which Alabi and Ategbero led BOT has continued to challenge in the judiciary space. Please note that the matter between the IMC and Alabi led faction is before a court of competent jurisdiction, brings me to wonder the claim made in the publication by Ategbero refuting any knowledge of the IMC.”

THE IMC EXISTS, ALABI FALSELY PARADING AS ALGON PRESIDENT; ATEGBERO LED BOT SELECTIVELY BLIND

I write on behalf of the Interim Management Committee of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON to react to a recent newspaper publication signed by the Hon. Ategbero led Board of Trustees on behalf of the Hon. Kolade Alabi led faction of the association.

It is well within the news and the full glare of the public, the constant crisis besieging the association as a result of battle for supremacy for the past few years, this rejoinder is the IMC’s mode of clarification on the allegation made by the BOT, stating that the Interim Management Committee is unknown.

First let me reiterate that the Interim Management Committee exist and has continued to oversee the affairs of the association pending the election of substantive officers, our current National Chairman of the IMC, is Hon. Abdullahi U. Abubakar, chairman representing Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory took over from Hon. Abdullahi S. Maje, a former chairman of Suleja local government area in Niger State.

It is imperative to note that our activities overtime, has been clear for all to see especially as it bothers on eradicating the usurpers, lawbreakers who hijacked the leadership of our association and held it hostage for over 5 years.

Alabi has continued in flagrant violation of subsisting court order restraining him and his cronies from parading as leadership of ALGON, carryout activities in that same vein through the backing of Hon. Odunayo Ategbero led BOT. the former is not a member of any of the 774 constitutionally recognized local government areas, and according to the constitution, a person who is just a local council development area chairman, cannot be president of the association.

Infact these persons, deceitfully gained the position they currently occupy.

We have overtime, casted a vote of no confidence on the Hon. Ategbero led board of trustees, we are not surprised that they have allowed themselves to be puppet in the hands of Alabi and co.

Ategbero led BOT, has continued to thread the path of sabotaging the IMC simply for their selfish interest of enriching the pockets. Their actions show total disregard for the constitutions that binds the association, their nonchalance in creating a solution that would end the crisis, has shown that they are core beneficiaries of it. They have proven to being BOT of propaganda, biasness and greed against the IMC.

The Interim Management Committee is saddled with the sole responsibility of savaging and restoring the association to its glory, we do not want to be seen bantering words in the media spaces, with humans who do not have anything to loose.

Let me reiterate that the Interim Management Committee was set up by the General Assembly in 2019 in furtherance to conducting elections of substantive leadership into the association, this feat which Alabi and Ategbero led BOT has continued to challenge in the judiciary space. Please note that the matter between the IMC and Alabi led faction is before a court of competent jurisdiction, brings me to wonder the claim made in the publication by Ategbero refuting any knowledge of the IMC.

It is also in the news, anti-graft agencies of the criminal offences carried out by Hon. Kolade Alabi, one is the 5.2 billion naira funds belonging to the 774 LGAs purportedly diverted by the former, Mrs Binta and perhaps the Ategbero led BOT who by their actions, have shown that they may be aware of the process. As a committee, we have ensured that the public are aware of the issues surrounding the association, the trustees of any association, holds the authority and responsibility to ensure the fulfilment of an association’s mandate, rather than that, the BOT has drifted and sabotage the associations from carrying out and achieving the mandate.

Finally, let me reiterate that against unsubstantial letter written and signed by the Ategbero led faction, the Interim Management Committee exists and was never ever nullified or dissolved, we shall in due time inaugurate an electoral committee to conduct elections for credible leadership for the association as instructed by the General Assembly (Please note that we shall be transparent and all activities will be captured by the media), Alabi led faction and the BOT is bent on misrepresenting court judgement to massage their ego and divert public attention from their criminal activities in the association and lastly, the IMC, is very open to the media for further questioning or inquiry.

Thank You.

Signed: Hon. Mohammed I. Abubakar

The Secretary General, IMC
